Page Headings/Titles


Images may be used in place of Verdana for headings as long as university branding guidelines are followed. Frutiger may be used in these cases. As always, university branding guidelines must be adhered to and supersede these guidelines.

Design Constraints and Allowances

Can’t Change:

  • Font size (H2: 24 px, H3: 14px, H4, H5, H6: 12px)
  • Font Family (Verdana)
  • Line spacing

Can Change:

  • Color
  • Background

Accessing code for this interface element

Headings can be written as HTML directly into your page. HTML has 6 heading elements total. H1 elements should not be used, as they are reserved for the University Title. H2 and H3 should also be avoided, as these are used for titles and sub-titles.
