The Office of Research Development and Education
The Office of Research Development and Education (ORDE), under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research at the university, serves as a resource for faculty and department administrators on both the Denver Campus and the Anschutz Medical Campus, in two main areas:
Research Development
The office advises faculty on potential funding sources, provides targeted funding opportunity information to faculty based on research interests, performs customized fund searches using a computerized fund search database, strategizes with faculty to maximize likelihood of funding, works closely with new faculty to provide tools and information necessary to facilitate proposal submissions, and produces a research-oriented newsletter, website and other tools for faculty and administrators on both campuses.
Research Education

Colorado Multiple Institutional Review Board
The Colorado Multiple Institutional Review Board (COMIRB) is a consortium of health care facilities in Colorado, which reviews biomedical and behavioral research involving human subjects conducted at or supported by the following institutions:
- University of Colorado Health Sciences Center
- Colorado Prevention Center
- Denver Health Medical Center
- Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center
- Children's Hospital Colorado
- University of Colorado Hospital

The Office of Grants and Contracts assists University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus faculty in securing external support for their instructional, research, public service and scholarly activities.
Support services include:
- Budget development
- Grant application
- Contract proposal review, development, negotiation and acceptance
- Subrecipient agreement development, negotiation and acceptance
- Advice on sponsor and university requirements.
Grants and Contracts is also responsible after award for:
- Compliance with non-technical sponsor requirements
- Various systems required by the federal government
