With Colorado's more than 300 days of glorious sunshine each year, it's always a good time to go outdoors for a little fun in the sun—and snow. You can head to the Rockies for snowboarding, skiing, rafting, camping, you name it. You can also stay within city limits and still find a thrill—hiking, biking and more. What could be better than living, studying and having fun in the place the world comes to play?
Our students are literally in the real world every day. The university's Denver Campus downtown and its Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora put students, faculty and researchers in the thick of urban excitement and opportunities.
The Anschutz Medical Campus is the world's only completely new education, research and patient care facility and the largest academic health center from Chicago to the West Coast, north of Texas. It is located in Aurora, a city with a budding arts scene, more than 100 ethnically diverse restaurants and recreational opportunities ranging from boating to hiking.
The university's Denver Campus extends from the Auraria Campus (shared with two other colleges), along the Lawrence Street Education Corridor and into high-rise buildings in Denver's Theater District. Students may live in on-campus apartments or in affordable properties near the campus and along the convenient light rail lines.
The Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora is a new health care city with state-of-the-art facilities designed for excellence in education, research and clinical care.
