CU Denver 2030
CU Denver is embarking on an ambitious strategic planning process.
Why now? Because the world needs what CU Denver provides: big ideas, innovative solutions, and equitable access to a high-quality education for our diverse workforce. Rising to meet this challenge, our campus community has said it is ready to take CU Denver to the next level.
With the 100 Days of Listening report findings in mind, we will create a vision and strategy to differentiate CU Denver by 2030 and to realize our full potential as a public urban research university.
We welcome all members of the CU Denver community to share their boldest ideas. In the months ahead, we encourage everyone—students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, employers, community partners—to help develop a strategic plan that will inspire our community and propel the institution forward.
This phase will consist of campus dialogues and idea gathering to craft a vision and refine our values. We will use these conversations and input to identify the most important attributes of our identity and ambitions. This work will inform Phases 2 and 3.
January – April 2021
Eight working groups will address major cross-cutting themes and generate innovative ideas to amplify our impact and drive the university to greater levels of success. These groups will engage our community for input and recommendations on their work.
April – June 2021
Valuing the input of our community, we will synthesize the big ideas from the working groups into a cohesive strategy that will guide CU Denver into the next decade. The resulting strategic plan will be presented to the Board of Regents in June 2021.
During her first 100 days at CU Denver, Chancellor Michelle Marks listened to more than 1,000 students, faculty, staff, and friends of the university. Discover the themes that emerged from those conversations.
