Measures of Success

As we refreshed our 2030 Strategic Plan in early 2026, we worked with a wide range of campus constituents, including the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, to develop a set of metrics in key categories, along with benchmarks and targets, that will help CU Denver gauge its success in achieving our strategic vision. 

Collectively, the categories indicated in these success measures represent the ambitions of our campus community. The benchmarks and targets are intended to give us consistent, meaningful, and actionable yardsticks for assessment. While some of these measures may feel too broad for each of us to significantly affect, they give us all of us a concrete sense of where we need to go as a university, and individual and unit measures and goals can be tailored to align with these university-wide measures.
