Professional Level Job Summary: Program Directors are responsible for the ongoing leadership and oversight of a program or function, including the development of strategies and processes which contribute to the University and/or campus mission and accountability for services provided. These positions typically do not supervise others.
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences, human resources, human relations, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Four (4) years of professional experience managing employee benefits, employee hiring and onboarding, performance management, and/or HR records, or other related experience.
Optional Substitution: Related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree or terminal degree in public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences, human resources, or human relations from an accredited institution.
Five (5) years of professional experience managing employee benefits, employee hiring and onboarding, performance management, and/or HR records, or other related experience.
Related professional experience as director, project/program supervisor, work leader, or staff authority
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Experience driving strategic HR operational initiatives
An exceptional understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion with a committment to developing equitable practices
Experience with human capital mangement systems (PeopleSoft, SalesForce, OnBase, an other similar systems)
Knowledge of applicable local, Federal, and State laws, rules, and regulations.
Supervision Exercised: Can supervise students. No cap on # of students. May supervise no more than two (2) 2.0 FTE. If the position has supervision exceeding two (2) 2.0 FTE the department should be able to provide a clear justification as to why the org. structure cannot support a higher level position
