Professional Level Job Summary: Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of functional work units, including the development and implementation of processes consistent with college, school or departmental strategies and processes and the supervision of professional and support staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences, human resources, human relations, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of professional experience managing employee benefits, employee hiring and onboarding, performance management, and/or HR records, or other related experience.
- Optional Substitution: Related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree or terminal degree in public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences, human resources, or human relations from an accredited institution.
- Four (4) years of professional experience managing employee benefits, employee hiring and onboarding, performance management, and/or HR records, or other related experience.
- Related professional experience as director, project/program supervisor, work leader, or staff authority
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Experience driving strategic HR operational initiatives
- Experience with human capital management systems (PeopleSoft, SalesForce, OnBase, an other similar systems)
- Knowledge of applicable local, Federal, and State laws, rules, and regulations.
Supervision Exercised: No cap on supervision exercised. Should not supervise a higher professional level position.
Salary: Grade 8
