Career Family Job Summary: Jobs in this career family cultivate external donors, develop and maintain business partnerships and relationships, and solicit gifts to the University. Functions include corporate and foundation relations, annual gift giving, capital campaigns, trust and bequests, solicitation research, program development, and events planning or alumni relations when the primary focus is for development purposes.
Professional Level Job Summary: Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of functional work units, including the development and implementation of processes consistent with college, school or departmental strategies and processes and the supervision of professional and support staff.
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing or other related field, from an accredited institution
Three (3) years of experience in fundraising, alumni/donor relations, or other nonprofit role or equivalent experience in for-profit marketing or project management or directly related field.
Optional Substitution: Related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's or terminal degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing or other related field, from an accredited institution
Four (4) years of experience in fundraising, alumni/donor relations, or other nonprofit role OR equivalent experience in for-profit marketing or project management or directly related field
Related professional experience as manager, supervisor, work leader, staff authority or project/program administrator

Supervision Exercised: No cap on supervision exercised. Should not supervise a higher professional level position.
