Career Family Job Summary: Jobs in this career family cultivate external donors, develop and maintain business partnerships and relationships, and solicit gifts to the University. Functions include corporate and foundation relations, annual gift giving, capital campaigns, trust and bequests, solicitation research, program development, and events planning or alumni relations when the primary focus is for development purposes.
Professional Level Job Summary: Directors are responsible for the ongoing leadership and oversight of a department, including the development of strategies and processes which contribute to the University and/or campus mission and accountability for services provided. Directors are responsible and accountable for the analysis of fiscal and human resources required to achieve department objectives including hiring, compensation, termination, and performance management of subordinate employees.
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing or other related field, from an accredited institution
Six (6) years of experience in fundraising, alumni/donor relations, or other nonprofit role or equivalent experience in for-profit marketing or project management or directly related field.
Optional Substitution: Related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's or terminal degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing or other related field, from an accredited institution
Seven (7) years of experience in fundraising, alumni/donor relations, or other nonprofit role OR equivalent experience in for-profit marketing or project management or directly related field
Related professional experience as director, department supervisor, work leader, or staff authority
