Abstract Submissions

Abstract Guidelines: 

Abstract Format:
    • Title: Use Title Case.
      • Example: Muscle Contraction-Induced Expression of Novel Mitochondrial Proteins
    • Authors: List all authors as first initial, middle initial, last name.
      • Example: AC Brown
    • Abstract: Organize the body of the abstract to include purpose of study, methods used, summary of results, and conclusions reached.
      • 1500 character limit (without spaces)
  • All abstracts will be included in the program book as submitted

Oral Presentation
  1. There will be a limited number of oral presentations. Abstracts not selected for an oral presentation will be included as a poster presentation.
  2. Presentations will be 10 minutes with 5 minutes for questions.
  3. You must submit your presentation to us to load on the laptops by July 9, 2018 at 5:00 pm (the Monday before the conference).
  4. Awards will be announced at the end of the day.

Poster Presentation

  1. Poster size no larger than 4’ x 4’. 
  2. Be sure to include disclosure information on funding and conflicts of interest on your poster. 
  3. Poster should include a concluding statement with significance of the findings​, as well as future research directions. ​​​​
  4. You will be assigned to one of two poster sessions (times to be announced). During your assigned poster session you should stand by your poster and be available to answer questions. During the other poster session you are free to browse other posters. 
  5. Regardless of your assigned session, your poster should be mounted by 10:30 am and stay up for the duration of the event. 
  6. Awards will be announced at the end of the day.
