The PDA holds a monthly seminar series to give postdocs the opportunity to share their science and practice public speaking in a casual setting. During each seminar, 2-3 postdocs present a short talk about their current or former research. It is a great opportunity for postdocs to present their work and gain feedback from their peers!
Because of campus regulations currently in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the seminar series for 2020-2021 will likely be held virtually. This change means there will be no free pizza, but postdocs will be provided with the opportunity to practice giving talks on Zoom. The Seminar Series Committee, chaired by Shi Biao (Wyatt) Chia and Andrew Roth, is currently developing a format and schedule for the upcoming academic year. If you would like to help plan the seminar series and/or have questions/comments, please contact Wyatt, Andrew or the PDA.
