The Latinx Faculty and Staff Group and the AAPI Faculty and Staff Affinity Group worked to establish a fund for DREAMers in partnership with CU Foundation known as the CU Student Relief Fund, this resource is used to financially support undocumented (DACA/ASSET/Dreamer) students who cannot receive federal aid, have financial need, exemplified strong leadership in their community, demonstrate strong academic promise and are working hard to pursue their education.
You can contribute to this fund through either a one-time donation or as CU staff or faculty a monthly payroll deduction of any amount. Use fund number 0321845 to designate monthly funds for the CU Student Relief Fund.
DACA/ASSET students reported they:
Often work full time to pay tuition out of pocket, and often lack sufficient time to study because of their work schedules
Are prevented from registering for upcoming semesters until they can pay their entire tuition balance
Have been faced with dropping out due to tuition costs.
Five reasons to give to the CU Student Relief Fund:
All donations to go directly to the fund.
It’s EASY to make such a BIG difference.
All donations are tax deductible.
Your donation will help support the talented pool of ASSET/DACA at CU in achieving their Dreams.
Financial concerns are a central roadblock for DACA/ASSET students.
