New Student Orientation

Welcome to CU Denver!

Orientation at CU Denver is a one-day program that includes campus resource sessions and a meeting with your academic advisor. Attending an orientation session earlier in the summer will provide you with the best opportunity to secure a class schedule that will best fit your needs.

Orientation dates for Fall 2012 have been announced! The first orientation session is in April, with additional sessions to follow in June, July and August.

Advising:

All new students are required to meet with an academic advisor before they register for classes. Each school and college has its own rules about when new freshmen are able to meet with their academic advisor. In order to determine how your school or college handles new freshmen advising and registration, please contact your advising office.

In addition to meeting with an advisor and attending orientation, new students should also complete all items on the New Student Checklist before classes begin.
