Art in Science/Science in Art is a juried exhibition of images created by University of Colorado affiliated scientists and artists. It opened June 28 in the Health Sciences Library 3rd floor Gallery and Reading Room, on the Anschutz Medical Campus and will be on display through August.
Scientists were asked to submit images that they made as part of their everyday work.
The 30 works are the products of scientific inquiry or creative expressions inspired by science. The exhibit has been traveling the country since January 2007.
The curators, John Cohen and Helen Macfarlane, are pleased to have the show on the Anschutz Medical Campus for the first time.
The exhibit, featuring works by several of our students, staff, and faculty, will surprise and delight visitors. Viewers are challenged to see if they can tell what an image is, and whether it’s art or science, before you read the caption.
