Smoking Cessation - Employee Assistance


There are several resources available to employees seeking assistance with smoking cessation. Most employee benefit plans offer prescription assistance to quit smoking. Inividuals should check their employee plans to determine their level of coverage.  Several plans also offer discounts and on-line specials to assist individuals in their efforts to stop smoking.  Examples of these programs include resources, support groups, self help materials, and articles.  Listed below are employee benefit plans and examples of smoking cessation assistance offered through those plans. Also listed are additional community resources.


Colorado QuitLine (1-800-QUIT-NOW) is a completely FREE, over-the-phone service for anyone calling from a Colorado area code. With QuitLine, you can receive up to eight weeks of the patch for free, as you work with trained coaches who create a personalized quit plan just for you. They also give you the support and tools you'll need to help you quit smoking for good. Those tools include the eight free weeks of the patch, individual coaching, relapse prevention, and scheduled calls from your coach. You can contact the Colorado QuitLine by calling 1-800-QUIT-NOW.
