CU Denver Student Portals

At the University of Colorado Denver, we provide two distinct portal experiences.  Here are some tips about when and how to use our different student portals.

MYUCDenver - Prospective and Applicant Student Portal
Use this portal to schedule an information session or tour, apply for admission, check the status of your application, and apply for CU Denver scholarships. 

 Login Information

  • If you have created a prospective student account or applied for admission online at any CU campus, use the same username and password to access the MYUCDenver portal.
  • Forgot your password? Reset your password here.
  • Can’t remember your username? Go to the new user registration page and enter your information exactly as you did when you initially registered.  Your username and password will be sent to you by email within 48 hours.
  • Click here if logging in and creating an account for the first time.

 In the MYUCDenver portal, you can . . .

  • ​Schedule an Information Session and/or Campus Tour
    • Click the “Visit Us” tab
    • Click “Register for an Event”
  • Apply for admission
    • Click the “Apply” tab
    • Click the “Undergraduate Application for Admission” link
  • Track your application status
    • Find “UC Denver Application Status” on the right
    • Click “Application Status” at the bottom of the page
    • If you submitted a paper application for admission, register here to create a portal account to track your application
  • Apply for CU Denver scholarships (application is open from  Dec 1 through April 1)
    • Go to the “Finances” tab
    • Under the “Scholarships” heading in the center of the page near the bottom, click “Ways to Apply for Scholarships”
    • Click “Student Center” and complete the application form


 FAQs - MYUCDenver Prospective Student Portal

Q: I don’t remember my username and password. What should I do?

A: You can reset your password.

Q: I submitted my application on paper. How do I track its progress online?

A: Please register here to create an account to track your application.

Q: Which browsers can I use to fill out the application and use the prospective student portal?

A: Go to the portal , click “Need Help?” and you will find a list of supported browsers.

Q: I have submitted all my materials for application, so why is my status still showing something as “initiated?” 

A: It takes up to 10 working days to process your application materials once they arrive in our office.  Please keep checking the portal for updates.

Q: I have been admitted and received my credentials to activate the UCDAccess portal for enrolled students. Can I apply for scholarships in that portal?

A: If the scholarship application is open, you may apply for scholarships in either portal.


UCDAccess -  Admitted/Enrolled Student Portal
This is your permanent CU Denver portal.  When you are notified by email to activate this portal, you will receive a new user name and password.  In UCDAccess, you can conduct financial transactions, view your transfer credit, learn your registration appointment time, register for classes, view your university email address, check your financial aid award status, and more.  You will receive notifications and instructions for these various business functions before classes begin.

 Login Information

  • The UCDAccess portal becomes operational in late March for students admitted for summer and fall, and in late October for students admitted for spring.  You will receive an email and will be prompted to activate your UCDAccess permanent portal account with a new user name and password.  Note:  Your MYUCDenver prospective portal username and password will not work in UCDAccess.
  • If you did not activate your account or cannot locate your UCDAccess username and/or password please fill out the account form.  Note:  You will need your student ID, which was included in your acceptance letter.

 FAQs - UCDAccess Admitted/Enrolled Student Portal

Q: Can I use the same username and password for this portal that I used when I was applying?

A: No. Please refer to the email you received with login instructions for the UCDAccess portal.

Q: I can’t find the instructions you sent me about activating this portal. What should I do?

A: Submit the account form here . You will need your student ID, which was included in your acceptance letter.

Q: I have been admitted to the university already, but have not  been notified to activate the UCDAccess portal.  Is this a problem?

A: No.  Continue to use the MYUCDenver portal to apply for scholarships, schedule a campus visit and view your transfer credit report when prompted to do so.  Your MYUCDenver account remains open even when your permanent UCDAccess portal account is operational. ​
