RaCAS is a hybrid in-person event. All presenters will upload materials to the virtual showcase by Monday, April 24th, 2023, and must choose whether to present in-person or virtually on Zoom (HyFlex) on Friday, April 28th, 2023.

When registering, you can pick one of these three options (view full details here):

  1. Poster Presentation: Build a 36" x 48" poster and prepare your 5-minute pitch to talk as people walk by or in a virtual lightning talk. Upload your poster PDF and a 3-minute recording of your talk to the virtual showcase.
  2. Oral Presentation: Prepare a 12-minute presentation with accompanying slides to share in-person or in a virtual presentation. Upload your presentation slides and a 3-minute overview of your project to the virtual showcase.
  3. Media Exhibit, Performance, or Demonstration: Present your work in an alternative format. When sending in your abstract, propose an artwork series, a dance exhibit, interactive showcase etc. Not sure how to present? Reach out to undergrad.research@ucdenver.edu to brainstorm. Upload summary images or website links and a 3-minute overview of your work to the virtual showcase.

  1. Poster presentations are held in an informal 90-minute session which allow for more individualized interactions as attendees walk through the space.
  2. Oral presentations are structured into hour-long sessions by topic. Each presenter is given  twelve minutes to present their project followed by three minutes of Q&A.
  3. Media exhibits have great flexibility in their presentation style. Email undergrad.research@ucdenver.edu to talk through your project and format options.

When registering with your abstract, provide detailed information about your technology and space needs (e.g. dimensions of set-up, need 2 outlets, need two tables)

Past examples include:

  • Sculpture
  • Live and recorded music
  • Literary readings
  • Film
