Program Overview

For more than 30 years, the Denver Community Leadership Program (DCLF) has supported individuals who are called to work on our communities' most complex issues -- those that can't be solved by one individual, one organization or one sector. This type of leadership requires values, skills, relationships, perspectives and actions beyond a traditional leadership approach. While critical for collaborative and adaptive situations, this leadership approach is also powerful and relevant within any organization or community.

The Denver Community Leadership Forum (DCLF) is a collaboration-focused leadership program bringing public and private sector professionals together for personal development, leadership skills development and networking.

The program involves 10 months of immersive and experiential workshops, including a five-day nature-based experience in the Colorado mountains. Session topics include partnerships and network leadership, emotional intelligence, teamwork in a complex environment, Emergenetics, systems thinking through a natural lens, mindfulness and the neuroscience of leadership.

DCLF is well suited for mid-level professionals from diverse backgrounds, working in government, nonprofits of the private sector, or high-level professionals interested in evolving their work to span across sectors. Fellows are selected from across the CU Denver Metro region, including Boulder, Broomfield and northern El Paso county.

The program fee is $4,000 and includes five days in the Colorado mountains, leadership self-assessments, special guests, activities and books that coincide with the programming. Scholarships are available.
