Open: Community Comment Period for New IT Standards
Oct 19, 2026We want your input! As part of ISS’s Standards Development Process, we have opened a comment period for all faculty and staff to review new IT standards and provide feedback based on how these requirements may affect your work, technology use, research, teaching, administrative processes and/or support responsibilities before the drafts are finalized.
Visit the Community Comments for IT Standards site to review the drafts and submit feedback via this form by November 11, 2026. (Sign on required for both links).
IT standards support reliable, secure university operations by setting clear requirements for managing and protecting technology, systems, applications, facilities and data. The standards included in this current open comment period are: Software and Application Standard, Secure Computing Standard for Servers, Data Processing Facilities Standard, Vulnerability Management Standard, and the University HIPAA Security Risk Management Process Standard.
Thank you for helping make the university more secure and compliant.
