Donna Alengi is the Deputy Executive Director of the Special District Association of Colorado. She has held this position for fourteen years. Ms. Alengi oversees membership benefits, association communications, events, and training for SDA.
Ms. Alengi has spent her entire professional career in association management including the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Special District Association of Colorado.
Prior to coming to SDA Ms. Alengi served as Vice President of the Northwest Metro Chamber of Commerce, headquartered in Arvada, Colorado. Ms. Alengi oversaw the Chamber’s membership services, small business development, women’s business programs, sales and marketing, leads groups, communications and events. Ms. Alengi created a statewide collaboration between metro area chambers of commerce for women in business. That program, “Women in Focus” is still a vital part of the metro area business community . She was awarded “Business Woman of the Year” in 1998 for the Arvada and Westminster, Colorado area.
Donna Alengi started her career with the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce in 1986. She became nationally known for her innovations in marketing and selling information resources. Hundreds of chambers around the country eventually emulated Ms. Alengi’s innovation, increasing their revenues dramatically.
Ms. Alengi graduated from the Institute for Organization Management at Colorado College in 1997.
Ms. Alengi served on the Board of the Arvada Center for Arts and Humanities, the City of Westminster Planning Commission, Westminster Artist Series Board, District 50 School District Advisory Board, Front Range Community College Business Advisory Board.
Ms. Alengi speaks frequently on the effects of alcoholism and drug addiction on friends and family members.
