Chris Nims

FAIA, Associate Professor/Adjunct

Chris, a licensed architect and Principal with Tryba Architects, teaches courses in pre-design and design studio in the Department of Architecture. Chris has focused his career on pre-design and strategic facility planning. He has developed protocols based on interaction, collaboration and communication that position projects for success by building early consensus.

Nationally recognized for his contributions to the practice of architecture through innovative pre-design methods, his 37-year career is based upon delivering value to clients and community. Past community involvement includes Downtown Denver Partnership, The Denver Children’s Museum, Historic Denver Inc. and the Boy Scouts of America.

In addition to reaching and practice, Chris is a Board Member for the Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund and involved in many historic interpretive efforts including Lamb Spring archaeological Preserve, Dinosaur Ridge, Rocky Flats Cold War Museum, The Colorado History Center, Old Rockland Church, Colorado Springs Fine Art Center and The Denver Botanic Gardens.
