Our Campuses

CU Denver | Anschutz awards more graduate degrees than any other public university in Colorado.

Our campuses capitalize on the beauty and charm of the bustling metropolitan area located minutes away from the Rocky Mountains. Denver doesn’t just have something for everyone, it has a lot for everyone: a lot to do outdoors, a lot of culture, a lot of diversity and a lot of opportunity. It is one of the youngest and healthiest metro areas in the country.

Our students are literally in the real world every day.

  • CU Denver holds classes on the Auraria Campus and our buildings extend from the campus further into downtown along Lawrence and Larimer streets. We are CU in the city.

  • At the CU Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, students in the health professions learn and practice in state-of-the-art facilities including two brand-new hospitals.

  • Students can also take classes at the University of Colorado’s satellite location CU South Denver in Parker, CO.

At a glance:

Total Enrollment (Fall 2015)

  • 18,417 students
  • 57% undergraduate
  • 43% graduate/professional
  • 76% full time

Opportunities that empower students to find and follow their own unique paths while getting a great return on their educational investment.

Diversity that reflects and shapes our urban setting, enriching our educational experience and contributing back to the city of Denver and the society we serve.

CU Anschutz

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Anschutz) is the largest academic health center in the Rocky Mountain region.

Located in Aurora, Colo., the campus is a newly constructed health care city housing two nationally recognized hospitals (University of Colorado Hospital and Children’s Hospital Colorado) and the six health professional schools and colleges of the University of Colorado. All have strong national reputations and rankings.

The size of our campus reflects the significant scale of our reach: 230 acres, 19,000 employees, $5.4 billion in annual impact to Colorado – nearly double that of the Colorado ski industry.

What makes CU Anschutz so successful?

The physicians at our hospitals on campus are also faculty members at the CU School of Medicine. Not just great doctors, they’re scientists leading research and teachers who, to instruct the next generation of caregivers, embrace the latest in research and best ways to treat diseases.

The process of coupling professors, practicing clinicians and researchers (some of the most experienced minds in medicine), with ambitious students who want to champion medicine for the next generation, results in remarkable innovation, and leading-edge treatments and care.
