The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Anschutz) is the largest academic health center in the Rocky Mountain region.
Located in Aurora, Colo., the campus is a newly constructed health care city housing two nationally recognized hospitals (University of Colorado Hospital and Children’s Hospital Colorado) and the six health professional schools and colleges of the University of Colorado. All have strong national reputations and rankings.
The size of our campus reflects the significant scale of our reach: 230 acres, 19,000 employees, $5.4 billion in annual impact to Colorado – nearly double that of the Colorado ski industry.
What makes CU Anschutz so successful?
The physicians at our hospitals on campus are also faculty members at the CU School of Medicine. Not just great doctors, they’re scientists leading research and teachers who, to instruct the next generation of caregivers, embrace the latest in research and best ways to treat diseases.
The process of coupling professors, practicing clinicians and researchers (some of the most experienced minds in medicine), with ambitious students who want to champion medicine for the next generation, results in remarkable innovation, and leading-edge treatments and care.
