Domestic violence service providers need access to community-based research that informs their ability to serve their clients and advocate for change. The Center is advancing the understanding of domestic violence through original research that could have policy impacts throughout the nation. In addition to theoretical and basic research, emphasis is placed on applied research directly related to the implementation of professional development programs as well as the evaluation of victim services, treatment, and intervention methodologies. The principle investigators for many of these grant-funded projects are faculty member Angela Gover, PhD and Center Director Barbara Paradiso, MPA.
