Campus Life
  • The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is the only comprehensive academic health sciences center in Colorado, the largest academic health center in the Rocky Mountain region, and one of the newest education, research and patient care facilities in the world.​ 

  • Annually, CU Anschutz educates 4,700 degree-seeking future health professionals​ across a wide range of disciplines (medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dental medicine, and public health), which offers students athe opportunity to network and interact with peers in a variety of fields.

  • At CU Anschutz, ColoradoSPH has approximately 450 students distributed across MPH, MS, PhD, DrPH, dual-degree and certificate programs, making it the largest cohort of our three campuses. ColoradoSPH at CU Anschutz also offers an online MPH in Leadership and Public Health Practice. 

  • The CU Anschutz Medical Campus is also home to two outstanding regional hospitals: the University of Colorado Hospital, named as the top hospital in Colorado; and Children’s Hospital Colorado, ranked for more than a decade as one of the best children’s hospitals nationally. Additionally, the new Rocky Mountain Regional Veterans Affairs Medical Center is located right across the street.

About the Neighborhood
  • ​Colorado’s third largest city, Aurora is the closest urban hub to Denver International Airport and has more than 5,000 acres of open space for recreational opportunities ranging from boating to hiking, ​a budding arts scene, and is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in Colorado.

  • Just a few miles west of Aurora, the city of Denver is home to many nationally recognized museums, including the Denver Art Museum, the second largest Performing Arts Center in the nation, and bustling neighborhoods such as LoDo (Lower Downtown) and RiNo (River North), filled with art galleries, restaurants, and more.​

  • Our CU Anschutz campus is centrally-located on light rail​ and bus lines, making it easy to get to from anywhere in the Denver Metro Area.

  • Our campus has access to 20,000 acres of parks nearby, including the spectacular Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre, Confluence Park on the banks of the Platte River overlooking downtown, and Civic Center Park, which hosts numerous festivals and events throughout the year. 

  • Our three campuses​ are located near the Rocky Mountains, which means endless opportunities for outdoor activities are at your doorstep!​ You can ski or snowboard at one at one of Colorado's 28 resorts, explore one of 41 State Parks, or visit one of 11 National Parks like Rocky Mountain National Park, Mesa Verde, the Great Sand Dunes, or the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Anschutz) is the largest academic health center in the Rocky Mountain Region. Located in Aurora, Colorado, just east of downtown Denver, CU Anschutz is home to the administrative offices of the Colorado School of Public Health and the University of Colorado's professional health schools, programs and clinics. All interconnected, these organizations collaboratively improve the quality of health care delivered, research conducted, and health professionals trained.

The ColoradoSPH at CU Anschutz offers multiple Master of Public Health, online, certificate and dual degree options, as well as options for MS, PhD and DrPH students, and MDs who are looking to complete a residency in public health:​

By pursuing one of these concentrations, you'll receive the training and skills needed to actively address diverse public health issues, including: chronic disease, environmental​ threats, emerging infectious disease, occupational health, global health disparities, maternal and child health, mental health, and more.​
