Academic Success & Advising Center

Prospective student information

Thank you for your interest in the University of Colorado Denver!  We provide academic advising to all undergraduate students who haven’t declared a major yet including: liberal arts undecided, arts & media undecided, arts & media freshmen, pre-business, pre-architecture, and pre-engineering students.

Attend a Transfer Thursday session:

Prospective transfer students are highly encouraged to visit CU Denver’s campus for a Transfer Thursday session prior to applying or in the process of applying. These sessions, held every Thursday, with the exception of University holidays, breaks or school closure, are designed to provide future transfer students information on admissions, academic programs/majors, transferring credit, financial aid, and other transfer related topics. Please visit the Transfer Thursday website for further information on the event and to register for a Transfer Thursday session.

If you know the major you are interested in and would like to learn more about that major, please contact the appropriate college or school:

  1. College of Arts & Media
  2. College of Liberal Arts & Sciences
  3. School of Public Affairs
  4. Business School
  5. College of Engineering & Applied Science
  6. College of Architecture and Planning
  7. School of Education and Human Development

Make An Appointment:

To make an appointment with ASAC, please contact our office at 303-315-1940.  We also provide phone appointments for out-of-state students.

Prepare for your appointment:

Bring a copy of your unofficial transcripts for each institution you attended after high school. Your advisor will provide an unofficial evaluation of how your previous credits may apply at CU Denver, as they pertain to the program(s) you may be interested in pursuing. This evaluation is subject to official review by our Office of Admissions and schools and colleges when you apply. If you cannot make your appointment, please call our office to cancel it.
