What inspires me? Watching ordinary people do extra-ordinary things.

What inspires me?
I am inspired by big mountains, nature, wide open skies and being out there in it. By Beethoven, great works of literature, and rousing speeches that call to our better angels.  I am inspired all the time, by all of it, by everyone. I cannot be alive and not be constantly in awe and inspired.

If I could provide a new college student only one piece of advice, what would it be? Travel somewhere far away with a good friend and tattered journal; and write about it.

What was my undergraduate major? Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in History

What is my favorite quote? " Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did so, so throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. "
- Mark Twain

We encourage all students to meet with an advisor once a semester, preferably before the next term's registration period.

The Center for Undergraduate Exploration & Advising Success Advisors serve as the primary academic advisors for College of Arts and Media (CAM) first-years and undergraduates still deciding on a major. Those who already have declared majors should visit with their School/College Academic Advisors regarding requirements, degree maps, and course options.
