Center for Undergraduate Exploration and Advising

The Center for Undergraduate Exploration & Advising is a resource for students still exploring major and career pathways at CU Denver. We welcome students who are still deciding on a major, planning to change their major, and/or looking to supplement their current major with a minor or certificate program. In addition to being a general resource for exploratory students, the CUE&A Success Advisors serve as primary Academic Advisors for:
  • College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (CLAS) Undeclared Students
  • First-year Students (under 30 credits) in the College of Arts & Media (CAM)
  • Pre-Architecture Students
  • Undergradute Non-degree and Concurrent Enrollment Students
We also invite prospective students needing a general overview of the many academic and major opportunities at CU Denver to meet with a CUE&A Success Advisor.

Advising Appointments

We encourage students wanting to meet with a CUE&A Success Advisor to make an appointment in advance. Please call 303.315.1940 to request an appointment. Though we prefer to meet with students in person, we will make allowances for students who are out of the area or otherwise unable to visit campus. Phone and zoom sessions are available in such circumstances.

Drop-in Advising

Though we prefer students make an appointment, we also understand that you may have a quick or time-sensitive question. In such cases, you are welcome to visit our office in the Student Commons Building and inquire about same-day advisor availability. A Drop-in Success Advisor is typically available Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays from 9:00 - 4:00 and Wednesdays from 10:00 - 4:00. Same-day/Drop-in sessions are provided on a first-come/first-served basis and are subject to availability.
