This year, we are proud to honor those who have dedicated themselves to educating others to ensure a sustainable future.   Each of the 2012 recipients has shown stellar dedication to educating important sectors of society in their own unique and profound way.  Please join us in thanking them:
David Getches, former CU Law Dean, will receive a posthumous award celebrating his lifetime commitment to educating future environmental stewards.
Colorado Foundation for Water Education, celebrating 10 years of providing balanced and accurate information to both the public and to policy makers, guiding informed decisions about one of the West’s most important resources.
Veterans Green Jobs trains veterans in clean/renewable energy technologies, resource conservation and other green jobs enabling vets to maintain their sense of service, give back to the community and contribute to a healthy, sustainable and secure future.
The Denver Sustainability Park is an outside-the-box collaboration between the Denver Housing Authority and the Colorado Renewable Energy Society providing a sustainable communities and green industries resource in the heart of downtown  This urban refuge is attracting thousands to gather, experiment, and learn from each other.
Wind for Schools, a partnership among the Governor’s Energy Office, NREL and CSU’s Wind Application Center, introduces rural communities, teachers and students to wind energy and provides college students with experience in wind energy applications by building wind turbines at rural schools (12 schools in Colorado).
