Piano Placement Tests are administered twice each semester, during the first and the last week of the semester
The Placement Test for Fall 2011 will be on Friday August 19th and 26th.
- Auditions take 10 - 15 minutes.
- Be prepared to play a piece you know well. It can be a piece that you have learned by ear. It does not have to be memorized, and you can bring the music. However, your performance should demonstrate your highest level of playing.
- Demonstration of your skill level with respect to playing major and minor scales, arpeggios, chords, and chord progressions is highly encouraged.
- Be prepared to sight-read a piece of beginning level repertoire.
