Daniels, 57, has been a Colorado guitar man for most of his adult life.
He started playing professionally in New York City, then Martha's
Vineyard, then Colorado to join Magic Music, a hippie band, followed by a
stab at college. In 1984, he debuted Chris Daniels and the Rhythm and
Blues Kings, figuring it'd be a Boulder one-nighter. But the band has
played on, under the name Chris Daniels and the Kings, for some 26 years
and 12 albums, and is just out with a new CD, "We'll Meet Again."
Daniels, after a stint as director of Swallow Hill Music Association, is
now an assistant professor at the University of Colorado Denver,
teaching the music business in the College of Arts and Media.
