With easy access from either coast, we’re able to bring an impressive list of visiting artists and guest lecturers to campus each year, experts in production engineering, live recording techniques, as well as historical and new developments in professional audio synthesis.

The Recording Arts faculty is comprised of internationally renowned recording arts experts preeminently qualified in their fields.​



This degree is designed for students who are interested in professional careers in music, including music composition and performance, recording, business and entertainment. The undergraduate curriculum combines a comprehensive general education with career-conscious courses, giving students the breadth and depth needed to succeed in this ever-changing industry.

Admission to the Music and Entertainment Industry Studies (MEIS) Department is selective and competitive. The MEIS Department requires supplementary application materials in addition to the standard University of Colorado Denver application.
