Media
forensics is the scientific analysis of recorded media in the form of audio,
video, and still imagery evidence obtained during the course of investigations
and litigious proceedings.
The National
Center for Media Forensics (NCMF) is an education and research center of the
University of Colorado Denver, College of Arts & Media, Music &
Entertainment Industry Studies Department and was created with the assistance
of the Department of Justice including the National Institute of Justice and
the Bureau of Justice Assistance.
Key goals of the NCMF are to:
Provide a
world-class Master's program.
Provide continuing
education opportunities for law enforcement and private forensic
scientists.
Conduct basic and
applied research.
