Regionalism(s)

At CoPR, we use the concept of the region to emphasize the importance of place in preservation, education, and research. We add the "s" to convey the geographic breadth of CoPR's research endeavors.

Regionalism(s) honors place as the nucleus of a sense of identity, a source of context, a foundation for authenticity and attachment, and a fundamental principle of historic preservation and cultural heritage.

In addition to Colorado and the Mountain West, our faculty and students conduct research throughout the United States and around the world, with projects and interests in such places as France, Greece, Turkey, Mexico, China, and Saudi Arabia, among others.
