Downtown Revitalization

Improving the Overall Downtown Experience

Downtown is the cultural center, or heart, of many towns. It’s important that a downtown is inviting, safe and has a mixed use, including retail, services and places to eat. Decades of neglect can take a toll on the vitality of a downtown. It may be that there are a few buildings that could use a fresh look, or an overall downtown revitalization plan may be needed.

In partnership with downtown development organizations and with public input, CCCD assesses the condition of existing downtown buildings and develops options for downtown improvements that provide an integrated approach to downtown revitalization. The results can bring not only a more vibrant downtown, but increased sales revenue from the added business that takes place.
