ABM is a contractor that works for the university and performs housekeeping tasks in an effort to maintain the highest level of cleaning standards to those working, attending, or visiting the university. In order to maintain these standards, the university requires that those who host events on campus maintain the standards of the rooms after their respective events.
Housekeeping services, while free of charge Monday-Friday, must still be requested in the EMS system in order to identify to ABM the need for services to occur. The more accurate our event hosts are about the timing of events, number of attendees and scope of event, the more attentive ABM can be in addressing the needs of our clients.
General room refreshes include trash removal, vacuuming, surface wipe downs, restroom supply restocking and general tidying of the space. If you require additional services, it helps to be detailed in your descriptions in EMS, which allows ABM the opportunity to better coordinate the services associated with your event.
