The department’s goals, objectives and measurements that we prepared for inclusion in the university’s strategic goals and objects were more than just an exercise with an end date – we were preparing ourselves for what lies ahead. We provided information on what we feel that is appropriate to be measured and how we would do that. These were commitments made to ourselves, to the administration and to the university. Now we must take the steps necessary to put this into practice.
This will be a work in progress for a while, but we will start with a review & modification of the dashboard, inclusion of data collected, determination of the frequency of collection for various goals, and a time line for this work.
