Cost Management Goals


The Facilities Operations Department manages numerous contracts for university-wide services such as parking, records storage and destruction, custodial services, and medical and other supply acquisitions including lab supplies, compressed gases and dry ice.  Our goal is to cost-effectively manage these contracts to provide the university community with low cost services as well as optimum customer satisfaction.

Objective 3.1:  Manage services provided by vendor for contract compliance and customer satisfaction, and take action if non-compliant

Measurement 3.1.1.  Develop and Implement by September 1, 2008, a scoreboard for monthly tracking of key points in vendor contracts to determine vendor performance and to correct deficiencies

A contract evaluation form has been developed and implemented.  Major contracts will be evaluated monthly; less critical service contracts will be evaluated quarterly

Measurement 3.1.2.  10% of new or renewed contracts include Affiliate partnerships for volume cost savings

As new contracts are considered or contracts come up for renewal, Facilities Operations will attempt to include other entities to increase our cost savings, i.e. state-wide contracts and contracting with Affiliates at the Anschutz Medical Campus.
