For the past five years, folks from CU Denver | Anschutz have been volunteering their time and talent through the CU in the Community program
. It’s a great way to spend time with your colleagues outside of the office while honoring the spirit of the holiday season.
We encourage you to participate in the program, which runs from next Monday, November 23 until the end of February. It allows you to take a half-day of work time to volunteer with the organization of your choice, and is open to faculty, staff, students and alumni from both CU Denver and CU Anschutz.
In previous years, CU people have volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House, Food Bank of the Rockies, Habitat for Humanity, and Goodwill. You are welcome to volunteer with an organization that resonates with your priorities.
We highly encourage departments to volunteer in a group activity. It can be a fun way to bring your colleagues together outside the normal work setting—and have a great time—while contributing to our mission of improving the health and well-being of people in Colorado.

Thanks for all you do, both for our university and for our community.
