Chancellor's Communique

CSU news, 10-20-17

Dear faculty, staff and students,

As you may have heard, four people were shot Wednesday night at an apartment complex near Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Three were killed, one of whom was a CSU student. Our hearts go out to all in the Fort Collins and CSU communities in the wake of this tragedy.

While we still don’t have many details on how or why the shooting occurred, incidents like this, so close to home, leave us shocked and saddened. The loss of a student is a blow to the entire Colorado higher education community. A list of campus resources, should you be in need of them, is provided below.

We stand with our fellow public university as they deal with the aftermath of this sad event.

Regretfully,

Dorothy Horrell
Chancellor
