The Human Touch

2021 THT Call for Submissions

The Call for Submissions for The Human Touch closed on January 28th.
Publication of the 2024 edition
(Volume 17) is expected in early May.

The Human Touch is the annual anthology of original prose, poetry, graphic arts, photography, music, and video created and contributed by the students, staff, faculty, alumni, and friends of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

All works will be reviewed by our editorial board for final selection for The Human Touch 2024 edition.

The Human Touch was founded in 2008 by renowned immunologist Henry N. Claman, MD.  Henry served as Head of the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at CU School of Medicine; was on a variety of prestigious editorial boards and received a number of awards, including the Sulzberger Prize from the American Dermatologic Society, the Besredka Prize of the Foundation Franco-Allemande, and the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Award for Achievement in Science.  He also was the founder of the Center's Arts and Humanities in Healthcare Program.

We are extremely fortunate and especially thankful for the financial support of Dr. Jeff Hill, an alumnus of the School of Medicine, and his wife, Molly Hill.  Their “gift” enables us to create what we hope is and will continue to be our “gift” to the community of the Anschutz Medical Campus: a beautifully rendered and emotionally powerful representation of the artistry and the diversity of our colleagues and friends.
