This fall, CU Denver announced three guaranteed admission agreements with Denver Public Schools, Aurora Public Schools, and
Jeffco Public Schools. Students from these districts with a 3.0 GPA or higher are automatically eligible to be admitted to CU Denver—with no application fee. As an institution committed to making education work for all, these agreements underscore the importance of access, opportunity, and CU Denver’s public service obligation. For alumni, this means your Lynx experience can now become part of your family story, offering a clear path to CU Denver for future generations.
What is the Air Quality Index and Why Should I Care?
Wildfire smoke, smog, and shifting weather patterns can affect Colorado’s air more than we realize—and knowing how to read the Air Quality Index (AQI) can help you make safer day-to-day decisions. CU Denver Assistant Professor Priyanka deSouza, PhD, breaks down what the AQI measures, why different countries report it differently, and how poor air quality impacts health. Her team’s work, from satellite data to real-world monitoring across Denver, offers practical insight for anyone who spends time outdoors.
Inside the Lola & Rob Salazar Student Wellness Center, CU Denver's food pantry "Milo's Market" is a hub for all students, staff, and faculty to access free food and hygiene items. This summer, a group of talented students from the College of Arts & Media unveiled a stunning new mural inside the pantry. The number of student visits to Milo's Market increased by more than 48,000—or a whopping 1,023%—over just one academic year. Easy ways to support the CU Denver Food Pantry include participating in the annual
CU Food Fight fundraising competition and linking your King Soopers loyalty card.
Training the Next Generation of Psychedelic Facilitators

Designed to prepare trainees for Colorado’s emerging licensure framework, the program equips learners with the skills to safely and responsibly support psychedelic-assisted care. With applications due December 8, this is a timely opportunity for alumni interested in expanding their credentials or entering a fast-evolving field in mental health.
