Emergency and Urgent Dental Care Clinic

CU Dental 1st Floor

The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine provides emergency and urgent care for our patients of record (patients currently treated at CU Dental) as well as for patients who are not presently being treated at CU Dental. Treatment is provided by third and fourth year dental students under the supervision of CU Dental faculty.

For patients of record, emergencies are best handled by calling your student or resident dental provider directly. If the student or resident is unavailable, please call 303-724-6900 to be directed to the appropriate department.

For non-CU Dental patients, the Emergency and Urgent Dental Care Clinic is open Monday through Friday when the dental school is in session. Patients are seen on a first come first serve basis. Doors open at 8 a.m. and the Emergency and Urgent Dental Care Clinic begins seeing patients at 9 a.m. It is recommended patients arrive early to register as the clinic often fills to capacity due to high demand. Call 303-724-6941 information.

Children are not allowed in the clinic and must be attended at all times.

The Emergency and Urgent Dental Care Clinic fee is $56.00 which includes a diagnostic exam, medical review and a radiograph of the area of concern. This fee will be collected prior to being seen. Any additional procedures, such as extractions or root canals, will incur additional fees and are expected on the day of service. Every attempt has been made to keep our fees as low as possible.

CU Dental accepts cash, major credit and debit cards. Health First Colorado is accepted for covered services. If you have dental insurance, payment documentation will be provided so you can submit a claim for reimbursement to your insurance company.
