Graduation Day Information
Spring Commencement, May 12, 2012
- Auraria Athletic Fields (map)
- 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
- Caps & gowns will be available for pick up on Friday, May 11, 1 - 7 p.m. in the Tivoli Turnhalle.
- Graduates will check in for the ceremony at 7:45 a.m. on May 12 in the PE/Events Center. The ceremony begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.
- There are no tickets for this event and no limit to the number of guests graduates may invite. This is a first-come, first-served seating event. ADA needs will be accommodated.

The commencement ceremony will take place on Auraria Field as scheduled.
Costs of Commencement
(includes regalia rental, taxes and fees)
- Bachelor's $40
- Master's $50
- Doctoral $60
A $25.00 late fee applies after April 15th
Gowns and hoods (if applicable) must be returned after the ceremony. Graduates may keep caps and tassels.
Registration
Online registration for the spring ceremony is now closed. If you still wish to participate in the ceremony, please send an email to Diane Phillips at Willsie Cap & Gown at dphillip@q.com. Payment of the commencement fee (including the $25.00 late fee) must be made at cap and gown pick-up on Friday, May 11 between 1pm and 7pm in the Tivoli Turnhalle. Payments on site must be made in cash.
Faculty that still need to register can call the commencement coordinator at 303-315-5815.
Post-Commencement Receptions
Schools and colleges host individual receptions immediately following commencement for graduates, guests and faculty. Please contact your school or college directly for additional information regarding receptions.

Parking Details
Free parking is provided in all
Auraria Campus lots on the day of commencement. The Redwood Lot is reserved for ADA parking. Avoid traffic by taking Light Rail to and from campus.
Commemorative Merchandise
You may purchase souvenir tassels, stoles, t-shirts and more even if you do not choose to participate in the commencement ceremony.
Merchandise is available for purchase at cap and gown pick-up on Friday, May 11 between 1pm and 7pm in the Tivoli Turnhalle.
Live Video Web Stream
The commencement ceremony will be broadcast on USTREAM live on Saturday, May 12 for family and friends who are unable to attend the ceremony in person.
Professional Photographs
As a service to our graduates, professional photographers will be taking pictures of each graduate while accepting their diploma. Proofs of these photographs will be e-mailed to each graduate within 5 business days of the ceremony. If you would like to pre-register for photographs and receive a discount on photo purchases, please contact GradImages at 1-800-261-2576.
