Importance of Career Planning

We believe that prevention is the cheapest form of intervention. The earlier your student sees us, the better. They will make more informed decisions about choosing a major; leading to a lesser chance of changing majors throughout their time at CU Denver, and a better chance of graduating on time and finding a job after graduation.

Although career resources are usually available to students as first year students, most students fail to utilize campus career resources until after their sophomore year. As a result, many students choose their major without considering the career implications, fail to take advantage of resume-building opportunities in their first two-years of study, and scramble to find a job during their final semester of college.
