UCHealth - Research Support Services News

What’s New

  • New research security templates for EPIC are available and they include ability to schedule! View only access will remain the same, however, for those who are on a template other than view only, you will be moved over to the new template once you complete an additional training. The first dates for this additional training will coming soon. You can expect to receive an email from RSS informing you of the change and the way you can register for this training.

Be on the Lookout

  • Starting March 1st, all applications for RSS approval MUST be submitted online. Access to the online application can be found on our website. Paper and email submissions will not be accepted starting March 1st.
  • A new instruction format for the online submission process can be found on our website as well.

Don’t Forget

  • Don’t forget, for all studies assigned a g-code; it is study team’s responsibility to ensure that patient is appropriately associated to the study in EPIC. For a tip sheet on how to do this and definitions on study statuses; please visit our website. If you find that your study is not available in EPIC, please contact RSS as soon as possible.
  • NCT #’s are now required to be included on all bills to third party payers. Please make sure you are including your NCT # in your submissions. Your study cannot be built in EPIC without this so as to ensure that we are remaining compliant with federal regulations.
