Marketing Your Research
Researchers often don't think of themselves as marketers, but the truth is that there is a great advantage for those academics who can frame and "sell" their work in different venues. This seminar will highlight what marketing opportunities are available to you and how to take advantage of them. You will also learn how to develop your own personal marketing plan to increase the visibility and funding for your research.
Anschutz Medical Campus - 02/17/15 from 1pm - 3pm
Denver Campus - 02/10/15 from 1pm - 3pm
The National Science Foundation is one of the largest federal funding agencies of basic research, focusing their funding on science and engineering. With seven Directorates, the NSF looks to fund good science based on intellectual merit and broader impacts. This seminar will offer researchers interested in applying to NSF an understanding of the sponsor and how to frame projects to align with NSF's mission. Dr. Michael Jacobson, Professor of Mathematics and recently returned NSF Program Officer, will offer insight on this agency and provide strategies for working with program officers and applying for funding.
Denver Campus - 02/04/15 from 1pm - 3pm
