Academic Year

Objectives

During the academic year, PCHCP students in grades 9 through 12 will participate in a variety of activities designed to:

  • Motivate them to remain in school and continue to enroll in high school classes that will prepare them for college
  • Inform them of educational and financial aid programs and career options, so that they may be better able to plan their future
  • Help them develop coping, study, test-taking, and leadership skills
  • Expose them to the various sciences and health careers professions

Academic Year

On one Saturday of each month, students will participate in Saturday Academy workshops held at the University of Colorado Denver (Downtown Denver Campus and/or Anschutz Medical Campus). Detailed agendas are mailed and/or e-mailed to the Program participants prior to the event. All Program participants are required to attend. Some academies will request the presence of a parent/guardian.
