At the Business School

Student organizations provide networking opportunities with fellow students, faculty and members of the local business community. They provide access to information about specific programs, offer way more ways to get involved with the Business School community, and are a fun and relaxed way to meet new people.

The Business School supports clubs associated with almost every degree area within the school and generalized business-focused organizations.


Aggressive Alliance of Competitive Marketers

The purpose of this organization is both to serve as a forum for students interested in Marketing Communications and/or Advertising and or pursuing careers in Marketing Communications and to promote the growth and understanding of Marketing Communication Principles and to apply them in various capacities. The club supports student development of knowledge and skills that will transfer into their professional careers and fosters the continued interest in Marketing Communications and Marketing Communication Principles.

Beta Alpha Psi – Theta Sigma Chapter (BAP)

Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.

Beta Mu - Gamma Iota Sigma Chapter (GIS)

Gamma Iota Sigma is an educational organization and an international fraternity for students in insurance, risk management, and actuarial science. GIS pursues a mission to promote and encourage student interest in the industry as a profession while encouraging the high moral and scholastic attainments of its members. Since its incorporation in 1965, GIS has chartered 57 chapters across North America and boasts an annual membership of more than 1800 students and an alumni population of over 17,000. Beta Mu is the first chapter in Colorado and offers great opportunities to build career relationships with top business professionals in the field.

CU Denver Finance Club

The purpose of the University of Colorado Denver Finance Club is to help students advance forward in their professional endeavors through our many facets of industry partnership, career development, and educational opportunities. Students of the club are highly involved in such activities as the CFA Research Challenge, CME Commodity Trading, Investment Portfolio management, Excel and Bloomberg workshops, and many more. The Finance Club is also partnered up with RMAFP and the CFA Institute of Colorado to provide students an access to networking and mentorship opportunities.

CU Denver Marketing Club

Phi Chi Theta – Gamma Iota Chapter is a co-ed business and economic fraternity. The goal of the club is to promote the cause of higher business education and training for all individuals, to foster high ideals for everyone pursuing a career in business, to encourage fraternity and cooperation among people preparing for such careers, and to stimulate the spirit of sacrifice and unselfish devotion to the attainment of such ends.

Sports and Entertainment Management Club (SEMC)

The purpose of the SEMC is to further their members' interest in the Sports and Entertainment industries through educational, career and networking opportunities, which will supplement and support the Sports and Entertainment Management MBA courses. The vision of the group is to create close ties with the community, form relationships with pertinent industry-related companies/contacts, be a source for employers to find qualified job and internship candidates, and to have fun while doing it.

SHRM is an active group of B.A., M.S., and M.B.A students who have interests in human resources management and professional activities. The CU Denver chapter has been a Top 10 SHRM chapter and serves students by providing (1) opportunities for networking with business people, faculty, and other students; (2) opportunities for scholarship, internship, and employment; (3) opportunities to access information about the HR profession.

UCD Net Impact

Founded in 2009, the University of Colorado Denver Net Impact Chapter is part of a global Net Impact network of over 15,000 professional and student members from over 300 chapters focused on changing the world in a positive way through the power of business. The UCD Net Impact Chapter, comprised of graduate students, concentrates on adding value to the Mile High City through corporate social responsibility, social entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, international development, and environmental sustainability.
