At the Business School
Student organizations provide networking opportunities with fellow students, faculty, and the local business community. They provide access to information about specific programs, offer way more ways to get involved with the Business School community, and are a fun and relaxed way to meet new people.

Beta Alpha Psi – Theta Sigma Chapter (BAP)
As the premier professional business and financial information fraternity, Beta Alpha Psi recognizes academic excellence and complements members’ formal education by providing interaction and networking among students, faculty and professionals. The club’s aim is to foster lifelong growth, service and ethical conduct.
Beta Gamma Sigma
Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International. The mission of Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to cultivate and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.
Beta Mu - Gamma Iota Sigma Chapter (GIS)
Gamma Iota Sigma is an educational organization and an international fraternity for students in insurance, risk management, and actuarial science. GIS pursues a mission to promote and encourage student interest in the industry as a profession while encouraging the high moral and scholastic attainments of its members. Since its incorporation in 1965, GIS has chartered 57 chapters across North America and boasts an annual membership of more than 1800 students and an alumni population of over 17,000. Beta Mu is the first chapter in Colorado and offers great opportunities to build career relationships with top business professionals in the field.
Business Student Ambassador Committee (BSAC)
The Business Student Ambassador Committee (BSAC) is the premiere student organization for business students at the University of Colorado Denver. The organization’s mission is to serve as the face of the student body, representing the Business School in a professional manner as it seeks to develop long-lasting partnerships with valued business and civic partners. Through social outreach and diverse community experiences, the club’s intent is to cultivate the best and brightest undergraduate and graduate students, with the goal of promoting academic involvement, career enrichment, and personal growth.
Members are selected for their dedication to academics, commitment to leadership, and foresight in preparing for their professional careers. Applicants must be business students with at least one year remaining in their time at CU Denver and hold at least a 2.5 GPA for undergraduate applicants and 3.0 GPA for graduate applicants.
Golden Key Honor Society
The Golden Key International Honor Society provides resources for student honorary members for leadership, service to the community, and scholarships, and online career and graduate school fairs. Many honor societies honor outstanding student achievement, but few focus on the goal for students to standout and make a difference with service to make a positive impact in the community.
Health Administration Student Organization (HASO)
HASO is the MBA Health Administration organization that represents the MBA-HA student body. HASO organizes social events, leads new student orientation, and regularly meets with alumni and faculty to facilitate networking opportunities, events, and share the voice of the student body.
Information Systems Association (ISA)
University of Colorado Denver's Information Systems Association is a growing community of Information Systems students which facilitates the engagement in higher education. Open to all CU Denver students, the Association provides its members networking, career development, and professional development opportunities. Their events include guest lectures, company tours, panels, social events, and networking opportunities. The organization is also closely connected to the Center for Information Technology Innovation (CITI). The chapter is affiliated with the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and has won outstanding student chapter in 2010 and again in 2013-2016.
International Business Student Network (IBSN)
The International Business Student Network (IBSN) is a student organization that brings student interests in international business together with executives, government officials and organizations conducting high-levels of international business. Members include alumni, current graduate and undergraduate students from CU Denver and the CU system. IBSN events are open to all members and CU students. IBSN is always open to questions about international business. Membership consists of over 250 students. In addition to host monthly forums featuring international business executives, government officials, and alumni, IBSN links members to internship and job opportunities. The no cost membership includes monthly meetings, newsletters, mentorships, job and internship opportunities, and active Facebook page.
The CU Denver Marketing Club offers a dynamic collaboration of applied learning, networking, and opportunity to its members. The mission of the club is to connect students with marketing professionals around Denver through unique events designed to enrich a student’s knowledge in marketing-related topics. The organization is open to all CU Denver students.
The University of Colorado Denver Net Impact Chapter is part of a global Net Impact network of over 50,000 professional and student members from over 300 chapters focused on changing the world in a positive way through the power of business. The CU Denver Net Impact Chapter, comprised of undergraduate and graduate students, concentrates on adding value to the Mile High City through corporate social responsibility, social entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, international development, and environmental sustainability. The organization is open to all undergraduate students at CU Denver.
Portfolio Management Group (PMG)
The group provides students with a unique opportunity to develop skills related to investing and portfolio management. Their community involvement has allowed them to gain funding of $250,000 to invest using a financial strategy. This real world experience is invaluable to students as they edge closer and closer to the professional world.
The group consists of both undergraduate and graduate students. While a good majority of its members study finance, students of all disciplines are encouraged to participate. In the financial field, firms seek out math majors, information systems majors, and even psychology majors because finance applies to every topic in the real world.
Sports and Entertainment Club
The purpose of this club is to further their members' interest in the Sports and Entertainment industries through educational, career and networking opportunities, which will supplement and support the Sports and Entertainment MBA courses. The vision of the group is to create close ties with the community, form relationships with pertinent industry-related companies/contacts, be a source for employers to find qualified job and internship candidates, and to have fun while doing it.
Society for Human Resource Management Student Chapter
SHRM is an active group of undergraduate and graduate students who have an interest in human resources management and business management. The CU Denver chapter has been a Top 10 SHRM chapter and serves students by providing opportunities for networking with business people, faculty, and other students; opportunities for scholarship, internship, and employment; and opportunities to access information about the HR profession.
Women in Business
The Women in Business Club at University of Colorado Denver works to build an inclusive community that supports and enables women by fostering a network and furthering gender equality. Their club is open to all graduate and undergraduate students at CU Denver, regardless of major. Activities include speaker panels, networking and social events, mentorship, skills workshops and participation in conferences.
