Economics Specialization | MS in Finance

By adding a specialization in Economics to your MS in Finance and Risk Management, you gain a wider knowledge of the financial world. The ​CU Denver Department of Economics and the Business School have contributed some of their strongest courses to bring you this option.

This specialization requires academic background in economics. The Business School advising team will connect you with an advisor in the Economics department who will ensure that you have the necessary economics background. If you do not have academic background in economics, you may have to take additional courses to pursue this specialization.

The Economics specialization

You will take both economics courses and finance courses to complete this specialization.

  • Real Options and Decisions Under Uncertainty
