Professional MBA

The professional MBA degree can be completed in 48 credit hours, including 30 hours of required MBA core courses and 3 semester hours in international business, and 15 semester hours of electives.

You may select electives to fit your career's special needs or use your electives to add a specialization for deeper knowledge in a particular business area. A specialization is 12 semester hours of related coursework.

A comprehensive exam or thesis is not required to complete the MBA degree.

MBA Degree Components

Your MBA core includes courses in subjects such as:

  • Data Analysis
  • Legal and Ethical Environment
  • Accounting
  • Marketing
  • Information Systems Strategy
  • Economics
  • Operations
  • Financial Management
  • Strategic Management

An international business elective is required and may be selected from a diverse menu of courses such as:

  • International taxation and accounting
  • International entrepreneurship
  • International trade
  • International marketing
  • Managing global talent

You may also use a graduate travel study course offered by the Business School as your international elective.

Free Electives

The final 15 semester hours of graduate business coursework will be electives from over 50 different courses.
